València International Bayesian Analysis Summer School, 7th edition

VIBASS 7 is the seventh edition of the summer school on Bayesian Statistics to be held from 8th to 12th July 2024 in València (Spain). Here is a small history of VIBASS and its past editions.

The five days of VIBASS are organised in three parts:

1. The first two days include a basic course on Bayesian learning (12 hours), alternating conceptual and practical sessions with R packages.

   It would be advisable that participants bring their laptops for the practical sessions.

2. The second part is dedicated to an issue of current interest in Bayesian research.

   This edition is dedicated to Bayesian modelling for economic evaluation of healthcare interventions.

   This 12 h course is provided by Prof. Gianluca Baio (University College London, UK). He is author of the books Bayesian Methods in Pharmaceutical Research, Bayesian Cost-Effectiveness Analysis with the R package BCEA and Bayesian Methods in Health Economics.

1. The last day is devoted to the seventh VIBASS Workshop.

   It includes two plenary sessions, with invited speakers Dr. Alicia Quirós (Universidad de León, Spain) and Dr. Thomas Opitz (Inrae, France).

   

   The workshop ends with a informal brainstorming and a flash-presentations session with contributions of the participants in the school.

Prices are in euros (€). The registration fee includes: Coffee and orxata breaks, lunches, course materials, summer school dinner and participation in the VIBASS Workshop.

If you are interested in our summer school but are in a difficult financial situation, reach out to us! We may be able to give you a waiver for the registration fees.

Participants in the VIBASS Workshop are encouraged to present a flash-presentation of 5’ with their research or projects.
